Welcome to Belroo Siamese
Welcome to our website. Feel free to browse at your leisure
We are Margaret and Ken Green and we live north of Nottingham, a stones throw from Newstead Abbey ( the home of Lord Byron), and on the edge of Sherwood forest. We had our first Siamese in the 1960's, but did not start to show or breed until the
1970's and even then very little. It was only in the 1990's when Ken retired that we
really started to take it all seriously. On the way we have seen hundreds of beautiful
cats and met many many nice people.

Our prefix Belroo is derived from our first two cats. Bella was a beautiful blue girl and her son Rupert, a most handsome seal boy, who, although he was the runt of the litter grew into a big boy and lived to be over 18 yrs old.
During the 1970's, due to Ken's work, we moved to the North East close to Whitby. Ken bought a beautiful Siamese boy for my birthday, he was named NAPOLEON CREAM BRANDY and his sire was DARLING DREAM SHERRY. At the time cream points didn't have Championship status and so we took him to a few shows to help promote the colour. He wasn't a very good show cat but he did enjoy going to them and it set a seed in our minds to go to shows.
Two years ago we bought a caramel girl, MAPU ALLEGRA (ALICE) from our dear friend Gina Baughan and like the cream points they didn't have Championship status either, but undaunted we took her to shows where she was lucky in attaining 13 ICs' and BOBs' and in December 2006 she was Overall Best in Show at the Trans-Pennine Show. In June 2006 they gained Championship status and she became Champion in three straight shows thus becoming the first female caramel point Champion in the country. We also have two more caramel girls MAPU FIRENZE (FLO) who has the same parents as Alice, and BELROO ELKIEB, whos' father is Ch. ABICASSA THE GYPSY BARON, who is the first champion caramel boy in the country. ELKIEB or Lillibet as she is know, is named after the singer Elkie Brooks who was absolutely delighted to have a Siamese cat named after her.
